How You Can Help
Canvass, Contribute Your Expertise, Spread the Word, Donate

Vancouver Island Forest Action Network works in co-operation with other organizations and individuals who are campaigning for the protection of forest ecosystems in this region.

In addition to our field work, canvassing, outreach and media campaigning, we work to bring individuals and organizations together to build coalitions, share information and skills, and build a broad base of support for the campaigns chosen by our members.

We are always welcoming new volunteers to help us with all aspects of this work, as well as calling upon scientists, industry specialists, and anyone with an expert perspective of the ecology of and impacts to this region to share their expertise and assist us with various mapping and cataloging projects.

Each of us as individuals have a right to be heard when it comes to the way that the land around us is impacted. Opportunities to contribute to the processes involved in the transformation of these lands is becoming increasingly limited. We seek to create more opportunities for all to be heard. Please visit our online discussion forum and share your comments and opinions.

VIC FAN fund-raises on a project-by-project basis. Funds are used for supplying equipment to our field camps, organizing events and conferences, and providing honorariums and stipends to various people who contribute expertise.
Please email us at moc.liamg|noitcatserof#moc.liamg|noitcatserof to find out how to contribute a donation, or stop and chat with our street canvassers if you see them in downtown Victoria.

We also have a list of equipment needs, so email us at moc.liamg|noitcatserof#moc.liamg|noitcatserof before you get rid of that GPS unit, digital camera, laptop or other supplies that we might use at our ground camps.
