Lay D. Lushious
The Lay D. has been performing burlesque for 2 and a half years in Victoria, after studying the Fine Art of Fabulousness at the University of Sass Ass & Titties. Her love for flow arts and fire-dancing led her to the stage about 5 years ago, and she never looked back. Lay D. (formerly Mandy) is a well-known crowd pleaser, incorporating her diverse skill sets into her neo-burlesque acts. She is passionate about creating performance art that inspires people, makes you laugh, challenges beliefs and social systems, and makes it hot and heavy. With a little class, a lot of sass, and a touch of nasty, Lay D. Lushious is a sexual force to be reckoned with! Photo by pbj/foto (Peter B. Jakab)
Florence is a Femme Fatale in every sense of the word. She'll hypnotise you and breakdown all willpower you thought you had, with just one glance. This delicate but deadly flower will make you drop to your knees with her entrancing eyes, come-hither curves, and lascivious legs that go on for days. Victims are sent under a salacious spell when Florence Fatale feeds the fire. There is no cure for the current carnal catastrophe … are you ready to be led to your ultimate demise?
Eccentric, eclectic, and whimsical storyteller sent from the stars to help guide others to the oneness … to LOVE. A being of light, she helps guide this path of Love through the arts - through photography, writing, prop-making, wardrobe creation, modeling and burlesque. Lady Ethereal’s burlesque performances are anything but ordinary… they are perceptually based with a sprinkle of symbolism and love. Much more than a lovely lady undressing, these are stories from the Heart, the Soul, and the Universe - stories to help unlock everyone’s light.
Tom Haat is the name, man of MANY hats is the game. Tom is a close acquaintance of multi-faceted artist Naomi who draws, sculpts, paints and marks the skin with permanence, as well as spending time volunteering with LGBTQ youth and first nations youth in foster care. She has a obsession with gender expression and its links to self empowerment and social change. Slipping into unusual venues; cafe's, outdoor BBQs and metal shows, Tom startles onlookers when he struts out. If you frequent a Dragbots show at Hush or Paparazzi or whatever venue hosts the Dragbots, you're almost guaranteed a shocking Tom Haat experience.
Two Girls, One Dress
The creative coming-together of the spirited GD Madam Vee and the flirtatious Mys’Tera Tremors. Fondly referred to by friends as ‘The Midget In Charge,’ the GD Madam Vee will delight you with her confident voice, her blazing stage presence and her immutable sex appeal. While classically trained in the Highland tradition, GD prefers a less disciplined approach to all things. Mys’Tera Tremors brazenly stepped onto the burlesque stage in a stunning culmination of her love for dance and celebration of the erotic spirit. Her infectious energy vibrates and will resoundingly awaken and entice your senses. Two Girls, One Dress will be sure to leave you panting for more.
Mitzy Turnpike was conceived in a dirty motel room in the middle of nowhere a mere 20-something years ago. Born a proud and shameless bastard, her mother abandoned her on a toll road, hitching a ride to the west coast. After raising herself from infancy, sleeping in gutters and roaming back alleys, she feasts from dumpsters and is not to be trifled with.
She's everybody's dirty little secret! Punky says: "I honestly find each of one my Cheesecake Burlesque Review sisters incredibly inspiring, both as individual slices, and as the whole decadent cake! The drive, determination, endless hours of hard work and heart that these ladies possess makes my little head spin… almost as fast as my tassels!"
We dare you to find another 4'9" pint-sized fireball of energy and glitter-dust! But if you do, please send her to Punky. The duos would be amazing!
99 BUCK lives and breathes music in Victoria British Columbia. A motley bunch jamming at a local coffee shop, transformed into a Country/Folk-rock funk sensation. 99 BUCK is Tracey Nolan's soothing vocals, lyrics and rhythmic acoustic guitar blending with Heather Doyle's tone, richness and haunting harmony. Dekan Delaney and Caleb Kennedy's rhythm and energy transforms folk tunes into danceable country funk. Jaime Nolan's guitar solos add the grit that makes it only 99 Buck.
